Our Dreem Fire FUEGO series has been designed and hand crafted by well known jeweler and knife maker Philip Joubert.
We challenged Philip to create a knife series specifically for over-the-fire-cooking and all the related tasks. The series is tough enough to be used for any outdoor activity, but beautiful enough to be used at the dinner table!
The FUEGO 20 knife design was inspired by two knife shapes that I have been using over the past decade. The typical and durable hooked hunting knife which you are not scared to use and abuse! This knife is very specialized, and therefore you only use it a few times a year. And secondly, the typical Criollo Gaucho knife. These knives are generally used in Uruguay/Argentina for everything from farming activities to asados.
We aimed to capture these elements of Durability, Usability, Quality and Purpose with an extra focus on Elegance.
The FUEGO 20 is your go-to knife. The blade is great for carving meat, but at the same time it is tough enough to take on your next hunting trip. The double finger grip gives you extra control when working carcasses on a hunt, or when slicing through fatty steaks and spits.
Philip Joubert designed and hand crafted the FUEGO 20 knife with these special characteristics:
